Well, as of Tuesday, Maddie had her last PT session. A week ago today, I dunno, she must have been in a mood or something, because she all but refused to use her recovering leg... at least for me, anyway. Dog: Doing better. This is a long, slow recovery. Gratingly slow. But she does better with each therapy session, so all we can do is keep on. Balance rest and good nutrition with the torture of physical therapy ( Read more... )

Maddie got her stitches out today. Now we can begin in earnest with some therapy for her. So far, I've taken her on two very short walks, and she hasn't put her "bad" foot down on either of them. I'm sure at this point her hip still kinda tender, and it hurts less (and it's faster) to just carry it when she's walking. She does rest it when she' ( Read more... )
