Lonneke told me that she read a column about how lucky we Dutchies are that broadband connections are so cheap in Holland, for example as compared to the rates in South-Africa. With the pope in the hospital and a lot of religious people praying for his well-being, I realised a fundamental flaw in saying prayers for someone. When you are religious you probably believe that god's ways are beyond comprehension of mere humans, or you believe that god doesn't meddle with earthly affairs any more. So what proggie do y'all use to make those nifty animated user icons with personalized text? Just curious, because I wonder how much work it is to make one. I'm still perfectly happy with my current icon but in the future I may want to experiment with different icons.

This weekend was the weekend of pressies and food (a.k.a. christmas). There was an abundance of food and no shortage in pressies. No, sadly she's not here in person. But with the Sarah McLachlan dvd's that arrived today I can at least enjoy her music in audio and video. Last Thursday I went to see and hear Sarah McLachlan perform in Amsterdam. It was more seeing than hearing since the tickets sold out so fast that we ended up in row 28.
