I have a job interview tomorrow so I've been browsing Job Interview Stuff. I'm in my hometown now (well... I went to high school here) so I'm pretty sure I'm by far the most qualified language professional available, that's not the issue... Just a propos of nothing. James Lileks is one of my favorite Minnesotans and this makes me laugh not only because I agree with him and it proves once more why I hate the media and do my best to ignore it, but also because I've been to Rochester and I've met that type of Doomism.

Today was a Day of Loving and probably my favorite day in NYC ever.

Team New Yawk broke a world record at the time when we ended our event and I was part of that team! Don't know if New Zealand was still trying to catch up and eventually did better, but they'd been training for TWO WEEKS and we just met with a bunch of random strangers in Central Park and kicked Mordor's ass! Booyah! -

M y contract expired today. It's been exactly eighteen months, twelve of which were uneventful and comfortable but made worthwhile by the pleasant atmoshphere I worked in and six of which were... not.
And now I'm free.
