I'm doing the radio tonight, which will be interesting, with the coughing and snuffling and hoarseness and all that. I mean, I'll do it, it just may not be pretty. Doesn't matter. They let Marian McPartland on the air, and she sounds like she died in a coal mine twenty years ago.

The PianoJazz lady! She does sound like she died in a coal mine twenty years ago! I didn't actually believe she was really as famous as she sounded like she was until I read that Wikipedia entry. Wow...

She really is! The hilarious thing is when you're listening to her and she's like, "Yeah, this one time me and Duke Ellington...." or like "Once when I was drinking with Charlie Parker he told me...." She knows everyone.
