Well, Lost, you done gone killed your own Canon again. Gosh sakes. Is it too much to make you sit down and watch your own first season?

I do have to admit that the use of the ominous music in the very last scene was pretty hilarious.

ETA: Oh look, I think we have another. What a surprise.

OK, even though I didn't hate this episode, I've looked at the evidence and agreed: they did mess up on this one. Both of those occurances I actually remember happening, not just reading on TwoP. So, bad Lost. *tsk tsk*

Still, Jack ominously playing football. What's not to love?

Yeah, I was watching and just went "...wait a minute...." so I looked it up. They're like JKR, they need some crazy fan to vet their stuff before it goes through to production.

I missed the problem with the second link... Of course, I'm not good at picking up the inconsistencies. I think mostly because I'm not good at remembering these kinds of details, and don't really care...

Anyway, I don't blame them much for forgetting their own canon... The writers clearly have no clue what's actually happening on the island, so why should I expect them to remember things that they had previously shown happening on the island?

Personally, I hope that Jack playing football proves that he's an Other... And that he will be shot or in some other way killed... So that we don't have any more hopelessly dull, totally incomprehensible JackBacks. But, that could just be my opinion...

I'll cut a little slack on 2 ... though I think it's one of those areas where the actors stepped in to do what they could with a screwed-up script (this used to happen all the time on The X-Files). I noticed both Claire and Christian leaving a perceptible beat & adding reaction when he said "I sang to you," so that phrase got an extra emphasis. So you can kind of read it as Claire recovering a fragmentary memory of her father, which she later on, when pregnant and hormonal, got all sentimental about.

But I think you're right that the writers just made a mistake. I find it kind of interesting when actors step in to try to save writers from themselves.

Gosh, that's an interesting way to look at it. I don't get very good reception, so don't notice when actors do something cool like that. It's really plausible.

I suspect that one of the reasons I enjoy Lost is because I only saw a few episodes during the first season.
