Man, it's been a while since I posted about Quidditch.

I know all colleges look alike, but can someone who went there tell me if this file photo is from where we went to school? Because I swear, I know the spot it was taken from.

I think by law every American college has to look like that.

Sometimes I think it would be neat to compile a set of identical college photos from like twenty or thirty colleges.

I smell a best-selling coffee table book in the works. Can I share the royalties?

Holy crap, I think you're right. Because over there is the chapel, and I lived in that dorm for a year...and I think it's Homecoming, because that's the only time they have those white tents out...

It is not MAP because the the roof line of MAP is pointed on the end and the brick is more red. You can find pictures of MAP and the chapel if you search google images. But it does look a lot like it.

I think the corresponding spot is just about where we tested your Quidditch rules, actually...

And wow. If not for the chimneys, that'd be frighteningly similar.

It says Ferndale Comprehensive School in the article.

I was under the impression that the photo didn't depict the school in the article.

Yeah, looking at the College's "Interactive Map", there are some chimneys and roof patterns that aren't quite right. Also, the building on the left should be blond stone rather than red brick. I think there's also a bit too much variation in the brick color in this picture for it to be one at the College.

Actually, during my Freshman year, my roommate's dad flew over campus and took some pictures from the air. He emailed them to us, and we thought they didn't look quite right... Ended up it was one of the colleges down the road that had similar shaped buildings, and in the air, the two were close enough geographically that he got the wrong college.

Good ole "Gothic Collegiate" architecture...
