I am appallingly familiar with the stage play (as tahmthelame can tell you if properly induced), and smitten by the recent movie, and constantly delighted by Hook, the Disney movie, the not-so-bad Disney sequel, and the Fox cartoon series, but I have never read the actual book ( Read more... )

Okay, I just finished watching the LotR Supertrailer on the second RotK disk. It is hilarious. It's like Peter Jackson said:

"Okay, I took this vast work of literature and turned it into a hundred hours of footage, then cut it down to twelve hours, then cut it down to ten hours. I wonder if I can take it down to five minutes."
