MS Word thinks that "lay" should be "laid". I think it should be "lay" but I'm never right about choosing between lay/laid/lain. Is MS Word blowing smoke or actually correct?

Turns out that Antique Lace is profoundly "meh" on my skin. I got bored and switched to Blood Kiss after an hour. At least they don't clash. ( Current purse contents... )

Finally finished all the summaries requested by etto, trinityday, bradmessner, tahmthelame, media_res, jd3000, and irked_indeed. The sheer number of spontaneously-generated plots made me want to cap it all off by writing a blurb for the back of an imaginary compilation of my imaginary stories, but really, enough is enough.

Had a fairly good weekend, altogether. On Saturday I wasted a lot of time, which is always a fun pursuit, and finished the Brother Cadfael book I was reading. Sunday I was insanely productive--shopping, laundry, dishes--with an excellent Bible study in the evening.
