Hello. *waves shyly* We seem to share a lot of interests, and some friends, whom I have seen mention you from time to time. I would like a lot to be your friend.

Hello hello! No need to be shy, although I do appreciate your icon. ;D I've actually seen you around before and am probably a dunce and a half for not adding you first, so here's to that!

Welcome!

Vanished Tales and Other Things nimoloth June 25 2004, 16:18:37 UTC
Hi there, I wandered over from vanishedtales. I'm a new player whose character is _wintergreen_. I actually had a reason for visiting - I wanted to ask what you were doing about the tournament at Cair Paravel. It seems to have started in your Queen Susan's journal but things got a bit hazy after that. Two characters (mine and another) will be at Cair Paravel soon and it would be great fun to have the tournament :).

But also, your journal looks interesting - could I be friended? I like your interests (and I always love meeting folks interested in Scotland and/or mediaeval stuff, seeing as I'm Scottish and I do Scottish mediaeval re-enactment!).

Ulloa! Sorry I'm a bit late on the uptake; I've been offline for a few days. :) Pleased to meet you! I don't believe that I have an actual Scottish friend on LJ, so I'm thrilled to make the acquaintance, especially of someone who does all the reenactment jazz. :D

As far as your questions about vanishedtales go, what you see at susanthegentle is actually from an older version of the game (if you look the entries are quite dated!). I am not sure what Rae (the mod) wants me to do with Susan at the moment, which is why I've been rather quiet. :) I will e-mail her posthaste and ask, because Susan is v-e-r-y lonely at Cair Paravel right now and is incapable of holding a tournament by herself. I'll post immediately!

**friends you** :)

You sound like a kindred spirit... sister_lavendar July 17 2004, 00:04:34 UTC
I would love the privlege of reading your journal! Allow me to introduce myself. My name (for Livejournal purposes) is sister_lavendar, Sister Mary Lavendar to those who know me well, and to the lucky few, just plain Lav. I am a recent graduate (in philosophy) of a sort of undeclared sister/rival school to Thomas Aquans, Thomas More College in NH, where I read "dead greek guys" with ninty other students. I found your journal by looking for people who listed Athena as one of thier interests. In addition to my devotion to the Grey Eyed Goddess, I also love Jane Austen, Tolkien, Sir Gawain, Dostoevsky, and especially Plato!
Hope to hear back from you soon, although I understand if you think this request is bogus or simply don't have time! ;)

Believe it or not, Thomas More was on my short list of colleges to check out for transfer! Eventually, we decided it was too far away and a bit too small, but I read lots of literature on it anyway. I'm genuinely excited to meet someone who's been there, as I've never even met anyone else who heard of it!

So yay! I am pleased as punch, and you found me in a very unusual way also, which makes me happy. ^_^ And your journal is fantabulous, so that makes me officially very, very glad you found me. Thanks, and welcome!
