I'm not completely sure why the balls change size.

What is the point of the PUMA? Seriously - if they want something that small, they don't need to rely on computers so that it balances on two wheel - they could just put it on three wheels.

Either there are nocturnal songbirds, or one of the birds who lives near me is confused and has insomnia. For the last 5 nights, I've been woken up by a bird at 1AM. And (s)he tweets away for 20 minutes, so it's not just a single song.

Very confused bird. Very sleepy me.

Astro got a new building (this has been in progress for years) and I got an office in it, right next the new library. The new library is beautiful and tiny - about one fifth the size of the old astro library. We're getting rid of all the journals, and about 2/3rds of the books. Police in Germany hunted a sinister phantom killer for two years after finding the same DNA at 39 different crime scenes - only to discover that the source was a woman who made the cotton buds used to collect the sample!

I'm not even finished with this book, but it is by far the best piece of fiction I have read in years, possibly ever.
People probably know that I love Dave Duncan's writing. I'm saddened that more people don't read and appreciate his work. I push books by him on people. Once, I even started a fan club. (It died.)
