I've really slacked on posting these. Things have gotten a bit crazy with my being pregnant and working more hours at the school. I have been taking the pictures though, I just haven't been posting.

It is very rare to catch Sophia fully asleep. She is ever vigilant, but I think my first trimester fatigue has been contagious for her.

I have my city back!
The weather is finally warming up. Dan and I have been taking advantage of it by exploring the city some more. We did a lot of it when we first moved here, but haven't been able to all winter due to the weather.

We live right near a draw bridge. I like watching the boats go through, but it always seems to stop me when I am trying to walk home with a ton of heavy groceries!

Project 365: February 7-14
This week I had the winter blues. I was cranky, moody, and I am tired of the snow! Granted we have it easy compared to other parts of the country but to go from having no snow in my life for 5 years to this has been draining. The novelty has officially worn off! Den Haag
A few weeks ago my mom had sent me an email about an installation of light art on the beach in Den Haag. It looked really beautiful and I wanted to check it out before it ended on 14 February. This week, I dealt with icy sidewalks of death, went to the doctors, saw the sun for the first time in days, and visited Den Haag for the first time.

Backlogging: PRIDE Weekend in July
PRIDE weekend is huge in Amsterdam. The city is covered with rainbow balloons and flags and there are special events all over the city. The one event I did not want to miss were the Drag Queen Olympics. It was hosted by Jennifer Hopez and took place near the Homomonument at the Westerkerk. We also went to the canal parade as well. Project 365: Jan 25-31
I think all in all this was an interesting week. The weather has been so strange. It will change at a moments notice and go from sunny with blue skies to snowing! I hung out with new friends, saw a movie with my husband, and we had another bike stolen.
