The thing I'm liking least about L.A. is the fact that everybody always seems to be ON.  Meaning they like to talk incessantly about how great they are.  I can't tell you how many times a day, and from how many people, I hear statements that begin with "I'm really great at.....(fill in the blank)" followed by a long and laborious elaboration of

i've noticed the same thing. i've been here about a year and a half and a lot of people drive me absolutely crazy with it! every girl thinks she is a model or an actress. everyone thinks they are the best thing since sliced bread. oh well... it's not too bad once you get around a few things like this =)

Good to know it will get better. There are some really cool people here, too. But many who are completely self-involved :)
