Sad day for vegetarians

If you haven't heard the (main, as far as I'm concerned) Union Square location of Zen Palate has closed, due to "astronomical and non-negotiable" rent increases.

Granted, they have 2 other locations, and they imply that they will re-open in a new "Union Square" location at some point.

But for now, the park just got a little less cool.

Wasn't zen palate that crappy vegetarian chain restaurant? I think one of my retarded college girl acquaintances forced me to go there once. I mean isn't it cheaper and tastier to fry your own green noodles?

sometimes crappy. Upstairs was a different menu, and pretty good. Only a chain in that they had 3 locations.

That's sad, but everything I ordered there was always really greasy... I hope that space becomes something cool, but considering how much that amount of space costs these days, it probably won't be anything interesting.
