Karla didn't leave her name on people's voicemails when they knew her well enough she thought they should recognize her voice. It was a Thing.

"Hey Gabrielle. Seems funny I should be leaving you a message when I could just meet you in the room, but we have funny schedules sometimes. I'm throwing Tahiri a dinner on Friday on the sixth floor. You should come with me. Just...no trying to pounce on her or sneak up on her or something, okay?"
