Been Awhile...

Connected...
It is so interesting that this came today as a recent comment to one of Rachel's posts spoke much to the subject of 'being connected'. I receive these daily meditations and when I read them at the beginning of the day and then at the end I find that there has been evidence of the truth each one represents. Cranium crunch...
...as I gaze into the computer screen I realize that long gone are the days of the 'blue screen of death'! Replaced is it by infectious diseases and the like. I believe babies are born 'knowing' how to use electronic devices and as the generations climb we are left with knowing less and less. Death has found its way....
...into my life by way of association. Frankly, I hate it. I worked for two years at an elementary school as an art teacher. My contract was not re-newed in August for reasons unknown. My father was dying from cancer and due to the fact I was not working, I was able to go and assist him in his dying. Now don't think for a second I was here in ( Read more... ) -
On this second day at 4:44pm...
...I sit and watch the clouds race by as do the minutes and hours of the clock. Tomorrow will be the first day back at the school where I will be doing my student teaching. I'm ambivalant about it, on one hand it will be great to be back on task for completing my Master's degree yet I will miss terribly the time I have had with my husband. My ( Read more... ) -
Beyond stressed...
....and 'tis the season I suppose. The moment finds us stressed as we seem to be caught in a revolving door spinning past the exit time and again. Two of our children have returned to their place of schooling, one is getting married tomorrow, another is traveling from Ohio to Mass., and yet another is homeless and on the streets.
