I hope you realize that bull fighting goes back centuries. It's the equivalent of Englishmen hunting foxes. Except in Spain they actually eat the bulls after the fight is over, but you probably didn't know that, or you're a vegetarian spouting out gospel.

Please understand that I am a tad insulted, because my family is from Spain and that is a part of my culture.

Honestly, be offended. It's really convenient to pull out the "that is my culture, i'm offended" card, so make this your cross to bear, whatever. However, as much as a staple that bullfighting is to Spanish culture, it is wrong. It is cruel. It is inhumane. And you can argue that to the death, however I can't ethically condone a practice that abuses and tortures an innocent animal for the sake of 'sport.' And yes, I am aware that the meat of the bull is either donated to charity, or eaten by whomever, I still don't think it's right. So as per your logic, it's okay to brutally torture and kill a bull as long as you eat the meat later. OK WE'RE GOING TO REPEATEDLY STAB AND THROW THINGS AT THIS BULL BUT WE'RE ALL GOING TO EAT IT FOR DINNER LATER, SO IT'S OKAY. Really? Is it okay? So can I rape and sodomize you and then later kill you so I can donate your kidneys or liver to a dying child? Is that ethical, is it really? So if you can honestly go to a bullfighting arena, and sit in the stands and cheer on that matador for the sake of sport ( ... )

You're so very angry. I'm not even going to comment on half the things you said, because a lot of those were just out of line and I won't stoop to that level. We're each allowed our own opinions, and we're all allowed to say what we want to say.

I've voiced my opinion and said my peace. So keep on preaching. :)

no really, i'd like you to point out the things that were 'out of line.' i think it's nice that you call me 'so very angry' when you're the one who got offended over my opinion. and as far as offensive things go, you started your comment assuming that i'm some 'vegetarian spouting out gospel.' and yeah, i am angry. i tend to get angry over such abominations like torturing animals for fun. i guess i'm just a freak. and really, there's nothing to preach; the issue is quite concrete.

as far as I know it's not legal in the states. I agree it's fucking horrible as is hunting foxes. I'm English, well my grandparents for from England, and I despise the thought of fox hunting. Sure it dates back and it's part of culture, but at some point culture gets a face lift. This is one of those issues that needs a face lift.
Both bull fighting and fox hunting!

well i know what you mean, that does freak me out when i watch it.. but i dunno if it is really worse than how animals are treated in any other culture, especially ours. I'd bet those bulls live a way better life than the cows we eat..

I cry every time I see it on TV. I mean come on. It's not necessary... at all. It's torture. And I don't care what value it has to whoever is doing it, it's awful.
