Fandom seems like such a frivolous coping mechanism. Does doing stupid fannish stuff make it seem like I don't care? I'm not sure what else to do, so fandom it is.

I've spent the last three weeks half-afraid that my sister was dying. Now that we know what's wrong with her, it's my dad being rushed off to the hospital for reasons unknown.

I ended up defaulting on my remix assignment because I was going through another round of ~crazy. It was the right decision--getting teary-eyed over my laptop wasn't getting me anywhere--but now I'm feeling all mopey and guilty because everyone else is posting their amazing fic and art.
