My parents always taught me that volunteering is a good thing to do, and I've taken it to heart as often as I can. I've done many volunteer jobs, and I've been tempted by many more. Feeling productive
So, I was reading along on some productivity blogs and I came across an interesting idea for journaling. It's the Topics Du Jour courtesy of Litemind. Basically, you list out 30 areas or aspects of your life that you want to keep track of and on that day of the month, you journal about that thing. Staff Meeting Updates and cooking adventures.

In sickness and insanity...
So, we got back from Denver, and A was coughing a bit and having a mild chest cold. They suck, but what can you do? My first weekend back at work, I start feeling the little twinge at the back of my throat, signifying a nice sinus drainage. The next day, I'm clogged and feeling all muzzy. Quick after-dinner post
Got to try out my new Louisiana Red Beans and Rice recipe tonight. Holy Jeebus it's good. A pound of red beans cooked with an onion, a couple stalks of celery, about a head of garlic (recipe says 2 tsp minced...I always multiply garlic by at least 3), and a bell pepper, spice it up nice and good with parsely, sage, thyme, cayenne and cajun ( Read more... )
