A recipe today, since I haven't put one up for a while. One of my colleagues has an apricot tree, and he often has more fruit than he knows what to do with. He gave me a bag on Friday - not quite enough for jam and I wanted to do something a bit different, so I came up with this cake.

I've been toying with the idea of getting another loom for a while now - something that can handle wider pieces than the inkle loom. They have a couple of brands of peg looms in Spotlight, but they are more designed for knitting, and I am not sure if they would be suited for the kinds of things I want to do ( Read more... )

So I think I mentioned in one of my last posts about having a cold. It was a stinking, rotten cold which took the best part of a week to get over, and then just as that seemed to be starting to go away, it mutated into tonsillitis.
