Hamish Macbeth
So I think we may have finished Hamish Macbeth last night. It's a little hard to tell - the disc said Season 3, disc 2 (which means there should be one more) but it felt very Grand Finale-ish: epic quest, resolution of romantic and sexual tension, MAJOR CHARACTER DEATH... if this wasn't the finale perhaps it should have been? C.S. Lewis, in his essay on Science Fiction, writes that you cannot adequately critique something unless you like it. Only a fan of a genre can distinguish the strong from the weak examples of that genre. the Thaw
If there's one thing I love about living where it snows it's the Thaw. It's like 35 degrees out, the sun is shining, and everything is just drip drip dripping away. It is beautiful to behold. -
Movies - for free!
We've started getting in on seeing free pre-screenings of upcoming movies. This is precisely the opposite of what we normally do with seeing movies 3-6 months late at the Dollar Theater, but it's been a lot of fun. A Midsummer Night's Dream (again)
Yesterday* was our 13 year anniversary of dating (YEAH GO US!) so we went out to go see the OSU production of A Midsummer Night's Dream down at the Lincoln Theater. It was super fun! (I could see this show over and over and over. As in fact I have done. Yeah...)
