Motivated the family for cleaning both our bathrooms.  They were over joyed (NOT) but it was badly needed.  Military has been crazy as usual, just when you think you can't get rid of one more thing, they come up with more items to be moved or shipped.  Due to budgetary cut backs they cut renewing the private helping me, and are sending him to Afgan ( Read more... )

Had a great time down in Daytona.  Work chased me for days.  I was constantly getting calls from work.   They set off the alarm 2x.  I am afraid of what I will find.  I had a dream this morning that I came back and found the Captin had turned the armory into a daycare.  All my shelves in the supply room had been moved to accomidate the 2-3yr olds ( Read more... )

It is like feast or famine and today is a lean day.  Set a group to the warehouse today to turn-in some tents.  Waiting on a number of clothing turn-ins that have managed to backlog.  Not good when the Command wants the stuff turned in by the end of the month, but what can you do.  Just looking for stuff to do today.  Everyone is taking advantage ( Read more... )

I guess it comes down to fear.  I am afraid of being alone, afraid of causing others pain, afraid of loosing my kids or destroying their lives.  Funny a soldier who has no fear on the battle field, would easily step in front of a car to save my kids, or put my own life on the line for others, yet paralyzed by fear.  I guess death is an easy path ( Read more... )
