So Ennis is a part-time dad. That can be hard. I was friends with a guy who was divorced and only got to see his girls a couple of months in the summer because they lived 2000 miles apart. As the girls got to be teens they all kind of grew apart too. It's sad what divorce can sometimes do to kids and parents.

That's sad that they lived so far apart. My folks divorced when I was 11 but they were soooo good about it. Me and my sis stayed with our dad, but mum only lived a few miles away and we saw her every day after school. I have the utmost respect for how they handled it.

Again, the best way to start my day!
The pace is perfect, Jack is getting small information from "his" man and I like how it is going.
I loved Jack shoving his hand in his pocket, small perfect details of the story :)

McDonalds and chicken nuggets never sounded so good! It's the right place for kids and I hope they'll go to play in the kids' corner while their fathers talk a bit more.

You know how much I love visuals so my great appreciation for the pictures shouldn't surprise you!

Thanks so much for another sweet and important chapter.

They boys don't get time to say much in this fic, so what they do say is important!
I go to McDonalds quite a lot with my kids - bad, but they like it!!
