1. Today is my sleep in day and I got up really early to make Alex a lunch for his soccer coaching clinic. I think love is sleepily making sandwiches for your partner so that they won't be hungry and will feel cared about later in the day. It has been 147 weeks since I last updated this journal. I think that works out to nearly, but not quite three years. I feel no need to write a synopsis of "what I've been up to for the past many many weeks". As of tomorrow, barring any academic disasters, I will be done the academic component of my Masters degree. I find this incrediably hard to believe. And it is sad in a way....my time in academia is comming to an end at least temporarily. I have had a wonderfully relaxing and relatively school work free 5 days. I even got out of isolation and went home and then to Barrie. Went to a gala fundraising dinner on Wednesday at the Convention Center because my dad really wanted me to go, as it was a Rotary club thing. My most exciting news is that Alex and I are going to the Rehab charity ball this comming Saturday. I feel rediculously girly worrying about my hair, shoes and dress. I actually decided not to buy a dress, so far I have been lent two different ones, just got them today, so I still have to try them on. I've declared today as a be gentle to myself day. I woke up this morning with little energy and feeling blah, played on the computer for abit and then allowed myself to go back to bed. I've been feeling rather hohumish and blah for quite a few days. Christmas was accompanied by the usual Christmas let down. Being home was coupled with the usual home stress.
