experienced my first earthquake last night. sitting watching a art programme suddenly a train went past. but we don't live near a line. "earthquake" raie says. we both sat for a minute (milliseconds in reality) then it stops and we jumped up and ran to a doorway. no aftershocks and it was tiny but my heart was pounding. why do we live on the top ( Read more... )

so we're in. moved last weekend...i think. gas and electricity switched on, phone finally on but still waiting for internets. place is looking empty but filling up. the hardwood floors make it feel cold and the leaky windows don't help either. but its certainly home.
