yesterday was fun. raie cooked a huge meal - baked sweet potato with pecan butter, tofurkey, american stuffing (which is nothing like english stuffing but is more like soggy crutons, but tasty), lemony brocolli and carrots all covered in gravy (that my mom sends over) and followed by homemade pumpkin pie. oh yeah. thanksgiving is great. no big ( Read more... )

saturday was raies uni orientation so we caught the 5:40am train to SF together and she went to that and I went to view apartments. saw 3 disgusting places. old falling to bits, small, dirty, pink (a pink bathroom is bad enough but who wants a pink fridge? and what kind of realter wouldnt advertise this fact so no to waste her and your time?). so i got another job this week. had a phone interview and later that day he rang me back and said i could start immediately and from sacramanto too. the job is in SF and its an in office job so we have to move right away otherwise i'm going to be commuting to the office in a couple of weeks (to avoid losing the job). its only a 3 month contract but ( Read more... )
