Hm. I resisted writing something for New Year's, and for Christmas, and saved it up for today instead, because that way I'd only have to write one post. I'm sure that worked out logically in my head. Well, either that, or it was just laziness.

So the handle of my bag broke when I was dragging it through snow yesterday, my train from Lund was an hour and thirty minutes late, my train from Stockholm started forty minutes after schedule, and I was home at 2:30 this morning. For the record, I like cold. Cold is nice. I don't mind when it creeps down towards -20°C. I just means I need to start wearing proper gloves and have a good excuse for hot chocolate when I get in from walks. Starting the Christmas season by making chocolate toffee, only half of what I was going to do because I lost feeling in my hands chopping the chocolate. I'll do the rest this weekend or like, when I start craving sweets.

krispigt i luften, börjar bli kväll
Back in Gävle for the week. To November chill and darkness. Everything seems frozen here, and still, bare trees against the a dark grey sky. The world is slower here. Both a relief to be away from the constant wind, and pitch black nights over the Sound, and a strange sort of sorrow.
