So much has gone on! I'm not even going to try to update from the last post. It's been long enough that I'm just going to begin anew. I'm a happily married gal! I'm really really enjoying this new chapter of life. I've always been crafty and now DIY is huge (not so much thanks to the poor economy). it's been 11 weeks
It's been 11 weeks since my last entry and I am disheartened to announce that I am unemployed as of last Friday. A complicated situation to explain, and one which I've already explained several times. Suffice it to say that I am now navigating unemployment benefits (crosses fingers) and trying to be positive. Ode to Betta
Some people bury their pets. Cats, dogs, hamsters.... I bury fish. Specifically I bury betta fish. Perhaps it's silly since they are rather small in comparison (you can't flush a gerbil...well, probably not successfully) but today I buried 2 bettas. No they did not have some type of horrific fight to the death. It's actually more of a coincidence.

Freakin' traffic
So after not leaving work until almost 6 I went along my merry way and then.... a detour. I have no idea what the accident was, but they shut down the entire intersection. No problem normally, but it's a heavily traversed area and the only direct way onto the highway. The next 15 min. were full of small, windy, never-ending residential streets. I ( Read more... ) -

been some time
Boy, it's been awhile. I simply don't have a lot of time to devote to the online world. If it's not "banking" day - I hit e-mail, facebook, and ravelry - then I'm offline.

Writer's Block: So Many Gifts, So Little Time
I don't do a lot of research on gifts. I'm more of a "got a hunch" shopper. If I know the person at all I usually have a decent idea of what they like, at least what their style is. ok...what is it?
How is it that the people you think should know you best can suddenly turn to look at you like they've never met you before? That is to say, can hold you in comtempt for views you've had all along, or become angry at you for some type of personality trait (as if it just appeared), or misinterpert something said with the intention of offering help ( Read more... ) -
ACCIDENT
I rolled my car. Wednesday morning, on my way to work, around 3:45am. There were massive thunderstorms moving through the area (though at the time of my crash it was only raining not storming). Deer in the road, hydroplaning, flipping - yes, upside down. Called 911, the whole deal. It was dark, wet, scary...you get the idea.
