Wind and rain has left a mess in the East end of the Gattis School Road area. Some road construction areas have washed out over the roads, creating a caliche mess, and there are small tree branches blown loose here and there.

To make matters worse, my roomate's new house has some minor wind damage, mainly to the fence and back porch.

The Dark Knight.

The best description is what was said by a movie commentator on a Christian radio station I listen to: "This is the best crafted, and best acted movie, this summer." And this was after mentioning the violence and profanity which lowered his esteem of the movie.

So I went in with high ( expectations. )

Yes, its an update of monumental proportions.

Without spearweasel in attendance, gaming actually happened with the Saturday night group. I can't remember the last time this happened, if it ever happened at all.

My surgery for the umbilical hernia went well this morning. I am already walking (a little) and eating (always a good sign), and I am lucid. I was amazed how quickly it went, and I had no warning that the anesthesia was being administered when it was. It was delivered by IV, after the antibiotics, which allowed for the stealthy approach ( Read more... )
