The trees here in Florida are different, hardier. I drive along the interstate and watch the masses of green flow by on either side. The palm fronds sway gently in breezes barely felt by me on the ground. My dad claims that he doesn't see them anymore, but I make sure I do; it's a reminder that I am still really here.

Wes and I have been together three years today. Happy anniversary, baby. I love you.

I've edited the last portion of my story, but it isn't finished yet; I'm feeling a little stuck these last few days. It probably doesn't help that I am incredibly mopey today.
