Yesterday didn't go to bad at all. My blood pressure was really really good, staying around 126/74. The night shift nurse that came in told me that blood pressure seems to drop for a few days after betamethasone injections and that it may go back up. Either way, I think that I will take the lower blood pressure, even for just a couple of days ( Read more... )

This past weekend ended up being really hard for me clinically. I had some pretty sick people that were difficult to manage. I had a woman that had shallow, fast respirations, she was pale except for her toes and the soles of her feet; those were purplish black. She had good pedal pulses but her SpO2 was 86% on room air. Amy called me yesterday and gave me a little update on Robert. He's still bleeding but its minor. They think that the bleed is from the fall but they are not sure why he fell. I went to class yesterday and then headed straight to see grandma. She was in and out, more tired. We had the catheter taken out because it really wasn't serving the purpose it was put in for.
