Things I Have Discovered This Holiday Season:
Rosemary Sutcliff's The Eagle of the Ninth is essentially the slashiest children's book in the history of publishing.
Ever.
The movie adaptation looks to have somehow increased this slashiness to make the most potentially slashy sword and sandal epic ever. WITH BONUS BOG WRESTLING.

I just got home from an especially long day of smiling and being nice to people, and wanted nothing better than to order pizza from Panago and watch "Murder, She Wrote" until three o'clock in the morning with my Vancouver people and dog at my feet.
Needless to say, this did not happen.
I hate being homesick. -

- I'm going to Saskatchewan! Despite being Alberta's prairie kissing cousin to the west, I have never stepped foot in the multisyllabic wheat-rich province.
