Back from the Konkan. Today's journey was long and tiresome. It's given me a head-cold. Ughhh. I HATE head-colds.

Today, just one day before our planned road-trip into the Konkan, I spent a pot of money to purchase my first Digital SLR - a Nikon D80.

I thus have officially embarked into photography as my new hobby.

I have at least 2 bloop entries with that title.

It is a nice little French word which combines elements of boredom, weariness and a shade of disinterest, almost perfectly capturing my mood these days.

For some reason, this Rāga seems to inspire bandish composers to new heights of creativity! A bandish is a short composition, often no more than two stanzas of two lines each that forms the basic lyrical structure around which the khyāl is elaborated.

It is not a great story that Jhumpa Lahiri is trying to tell in this book. In fact it is hardly a story, let alone a great one. When I was experimenting with blogger, I had started re-posting old entries from bloop there for archival purposes. Wonder if I should do the same with LJ now. Or should I simply download my bloop entries and keep them on my HDD.
