I love days like today. Today was such a productive day. Took some work calls, ran all but one of the errands I needed to. Had a delicious brunch at one of our favorite places in south Santa Monica, bought some books at our favorite second hand book store. Loving Chicago!

I was craving some Chicago style pizza for my birthday. And there's really only one place to get some. So here we are.

And the Cubs won today too :)

This morning Simon and I had an awesome brunch at Joe's with Jaason & Robb (ryokousha & dirigibles). They braved driving all the way from the valley for this and it was great to meet them and finally sit down and have a chance to talk. We were sorta rushed last time we met Robb! So LJ, it's been a while.

A lot has happened this spring! kince13 came down from Seattle for a visit and spent a couple days with us before heading off to a family gathering. His visits are enjoyable, as always. So, if the California Supreme Court rules that Proposition 8 is valid yet upholds the legality of existing same sex marriages, does that mean that some gay couples are 'more equal' than others? I was forewarned Tuesday that there would be layoffs at work, and on Friday that came to fruition. I am keeping my job, but all bonus programs have been indefinitely suspended and that will cut out a large chunk of my pay. Not the best news ( Read more... )

There are few better experiences in Los Angeles than Sunday brunch at Joe's.

Today looks to be a fun day. Hanging out with Jimmy and then he and I are having dinner with Simon. Don't know where yet. It is so nice out, I wish every day could be like today.
