Sorry I have no idea why a certain link. Happened to me too:
I have an entry in my LJ "Geocities" (tagged the same) where I collected lots of links to fanfic sites. All at once I couldn't edit it any longer. Opened a request and got to know the problem was a link I've added but I've forgotten (or didn't know) which url caused it. LJ did kind of "whitelistening" the link I think because after they did something it functioned (even if I haven't edit the entry in a while. *g*.
First time it’s happened to me. I mean, I know they have a whitelist for videos; I’ve run up against that a number of times in this video embedding community… But I’ve never come across it in a simple link before.
It's an anti-spam measure. Submit a support request and if the domain is okay it'll be removed from the blacklist. Since this feature was added I've only seen one request be denied, but I don't believe they're all handled publicly.
It's not entirely clear how a domain gets on the blacklist but it seems that domains that host a lot of spam, or are linked a lot from spam entries/comments, make up the bulk of the list.
I just ran into this problem - all I was doing was quoting someone else's quote, no direct linking involved. Turns out that they've been issuing "persistent threats" against LJ. No clue how that works.
