I'm glad the hurricane hit when it did. I was EXACTLY in the demolition zone for Gary's wedding in February. From New Orleans to Gulfport to Biloxi to Mobile, I visited all those spots before they became one big underwater adventure.
In retrospect, it was a lot easier than I had expected. I was able to dispute the $4,000 AT&T long distance bill I got for the 3 temporary phone lines at Kennedy Space Center. They charged us $10.70 per minute to call Japan. The technician on the phone told me the normal rate for businesses was $.09 per minute. So yeah, they will reevaluate the

I've been back for 2 days and my internal organs hurt. That is a good sign. My apartment is empty. I have an Aero bed and some boxes that I will tote around the next month.
Ok, so my boss kind of talked me into staying the month of September. However, I already ended my lease in August, so I have a homeless gap of about a month. I am thinking if I cut it up into 4 weeks, I can crash at 4 different places

Man, I hope this shuttle launches today. I was in bed by 11pm but obviously I couldn't sleep. I managed to get a couple hours in, then woke up at 3am for a shower, some personal pep talking, and on the road by 4am. Thankfully I was able to get a second passenger right away so I could car pool onto base. Now I have to wait just 5 short more
