The problem with taking a year off of school is that now that I'm back, I'm actually supposed to do homework again.

I can think of several thousand things I'd rather be doing than writing a paper on the Aegean Bronze Age.

I think both candidates did well enough for their positions, and I don't think there was a clear winner. I'm not great at judging that, but I don't think either of them really outshined the other last night ( Read more... )

I've come to the conclusion that while I disagree with Sarah Palin's position on abortion in that she is not pro-choice, I don't specifically fault her for being against abortion even in the case of rape (or incest, etc). I'm home!

Not for very long - two weeks - but I'll take what I can get. I haven't seen home since last August, and it's a bit of a shock. New York is cold and busy, who knew?

Man, I missed this place :) I really, really did.

I'm pretty jetlagged so I'm not thinking very coherently, but it's nice to be home.

I just want to share this special tidbit I read in Ha'aretz (an Israeli newspaper) last night:

I'm still alive. In Tel Aviv at the moment, at an internet cafe. A pretty lame city compared to NYC, but can't really blame them since more people live in NYC than in all of Israel. Still.
