Well I'm back in Qld, which is both good and bad. Good to be home by myself again, enjoying the peace and quiet, not to mention almost complete anonymity. But bad to be back in a place that shuts down on Sundays, and where I have to do my own dishes. Good to be back with all my stuff. Bad to be back at work. Just got in from Harry Potter and the goblet of fire.

I dragged one of the blokes from work along with me. He hasn't touched one of the books, and has only seen the first movie, but he says he liked it. Perhaps it is an advantage to not have read the book...that way you don't know how much better it could have been.

Hi all, I'm currently lying on my bed in the 'camp', which is the relatively basic accommodation that they give you when you're on a mine site. This particular mine site is rather out of the way, located around 1.5 hours from Carnarvon George, so they have little choice but to provide the accommodation if they want to get people out here ( Read more... )

Actually I'm not bleeding anymore. Though I was earlier, and about time too. I've been meaning to get along to the Red Cross for some time now, to start giving blood again. Aaarggh, the suspense is killing me. Not half as much as tomorrow morning's forced march to the Big-W probably will (assuming my car doesn't get here today), but still...
