I lost a very close friend recently. The person who would normally support me through times like this, who has been available 24/7 in person or at the end of the phone to help me with Asperger issues, who didn't have a problem with my need to discuss things at length and who included me in his social, family and work life.

I meet the diagnostic criteria.
So much fell into place when I realised what was probably going on with my mental wiring, and to have it confirmed officially gives a great sense of relief.
