If I get paid for writing intellectual wank about Neal Stephenson books I would be very happy indeed. It's thoughts like that that make doing an arts degree almost tempting. Almost.

So - the goal for the year is to update my blog once a week. Attempted to use Socratic methods of psychoanalysis to talk me out of my writers block is not going to help me feel more motivated. Especially on a day when I am actually feeling ok about things, and want to write.

Is it normal to start outlining a completely different novel instead of, say, working on the one you are meant to be writing???

I decided today that i wanted to apply for the part time writing and editing cource at rmit, but the applications are due... today. So i went and found some work i submitted to a critique site, and while there discovered that four new people had actually critiqued it - and they all loved it.
