Much to my surprise...
I got a distinction for my Astronomy course.
A total surprise, I have to tell you.
I now have a Certificate in Astronomy and Planetary Science. Whee! If I want. Which I do. -

Apparently we suffered an ice storm yesterday here in Scotland. Which meant that I fell right on my backside and thwacked my hand against the pavement. I now have a swollen finger that luckily isn't broken but it's a pretty black colour.
Just wanted to say Happy Birthday to the other members of the 4th December triplets! -
Star gazing
Here I am on the sunny island of Mallorca in the Mediterran sea on my astronomy field trip, only of course it´s not sunny as it´s now 3.15 am. Our days run from 4 pm to 4 am and we have become creatures of the night, illuminated only by red-light torches and the Milky Way ( Read more... ) -
Field Trip to Arran June 2007
My Geological pictures from our field trip to Arran. Arran is an island off the west coast of Scotland and has some really interesting geology. It's often called "Scotland in Minature".
