Sorry to hear this. :( Pets are so dependent on their families and give back a sort of unconditional loyalty, that it's very hard to lose them. People without pets they are attached to don't often understand this.
I am now trying not to enter the super paranoid mode with Eowyne ( my other cat, Vesna's biological mother). It's been really interisting going through this from a psychological point of view. I often have clients who can't believe they are in trauma, because they don't think their experience was THAT traumatic (yet they show every symptom that indeed it was very traumatic for them). I would have never thought that I would have trauma symptoms due to the death of one my kitties, but I really was in total trauma these past two days. I have been easily startled, I am anxious, memories of the event make me really upset, nightmares, i'm sensitive to noise, and I lose concentration within moments. As my supervisor would say, now I have to learn to internalize her... but I'll just keep missing her for a bit longer. :)
PS. Thanks for your books recomendations. I never did thank you for them. I just sort of got caught up with life
Oh querida;.;. Nao acho certo ficar comparando o tamanho das coisas assim. O que é um big deal pra alguem é e simplesmente o é. Não é porque morrem criancas de fome q a doenca da sua gatinha nao vai te afetar da mesma maneira.
Além disso, é um membro da familia anyway. Sinto muito, to torcendo aqui por ela, e q o tratamento nao seja tao caro, e se nao for, nao vejo motivos para nao trata-la, afinal se vc ou o marcus estivessem doente, os dois iriam ao medico e se cuidariam, entao acho q o mesmo deve ser feito com ela..

Tentamos, realmente tinhamos decidido em oferecer tudo que a medicina poderia oferecer a nossa vesna, mas unfortunately it was not to be.
