i want inspiration, beauty. not to create anything great except the fabric of my every day. every single day. i want to be consumed by the sight of the world around me, and the faces of the people i meet, and my own laboring breath.

it's not what you do but how you do it.

The family is back. Another six months of ridiculousness and love. Who knows what will happen afterwards? I talked to David about it earlier today...Can I really spend that much on rent? Where will it all come from? I have to trust the future to sort all of this out...

fuck the real parties, tonight i think i'll be one of five or six hanging around ben and niels' place.  maybe boring to some, but you can just feel the love when everyone's hanging out there.  a year in my life, my friends' lives.  things will never be the same as they are now, or ever, so go live.

but this year i'll try not to think too much. 

I wanted to go down to the beach and smoke and drink beer but everyone was working or busy or gone or not picking up their phone tonight.  I've grudgingly continued research.  It's interesting, but i really just don't care about crafting it into something tangible.  How about that beer...

There are a few things that keep me centered during the day.  Swimming everyday is calming and gives me more energy.  I've been riding my bike a lot around the bluffs.  Wandering and hiking at night.  After a few hours I feel suffocated by the inside of the house, the noise of TV and screens flickering ( Read more... )
