i solved my quandry of which of two good nights (dead & buried or slaughterhaus 5) to go to last night by winding myself up into a lousy mood, and staying home instead. drank a bottle of crap red wine and watched qi and the book quiz on bbc i player. i rawk.

i got 80% for my dissertation, which i'm proper chuffed about. this has mitigated quite a large chunk of my gloom, and made up for the slightly less sparkly grade i got for my other work (which i knew was sub-standard anyway ( Read more... ) -
pathetic whinging
so for a couple of weeks i've been properly down in them dumps. i'm naturally a very happy person (often annoyingly so), and i never stay upset or pissed off for long at all (which could be a sign of sociopathy). i do get in the odd funk, but they usually pass. so two weeks or so of constant gloom is notable. it hasn't been a crippling, can't-get- ( Read more... ) -

tagged by suicideally1. einstürzende neubauten - fünf auf der nach oben offenen richterskala - this album was the first neubauten i ever listened to, and it's still my favourite. i reckon it's neubauten's most under-appreciated record from back in the day, too. it's the record that got me into "real" industrial, as opposed to metal bands with keyboard bits. this isn't directed at anybody in particular but i seem to have been involved in a number of discussions lately where i've been on perhaps the less popular side of a debate. and thinking about it there are a number of opinions i hold that are apparently not politically correct or widely supported.
