To launch, or not to launch...

Apr 16, 2009 12:48

OK, I've read the book, made my corrections, and I'm ready to approve it and let it go!

I've told everyone the launch date is 20th April, so I'm 4 days ahead of schedule.

Does it look unprofessional to say 'balls to it' and go anyway, or should I wait and hit 'go' at midnight on the 20th?

In my case, I waited until my deadline, giggling and hugging myself with excitement. It's better than Christmas!

I'd say stick with the 20th - that way you have something to look forward too - like Ni says :)

If you're happy with it, I'd let it go and get it out there. When albums arrive from the pressing plant ahead of schedule we just get on with it. Still do all the release things set out for the 20th, on the 20th, but everything will be ready and in some cases already out there. A product not in the market cannot sell.

But then release date for my book was based on when it was ready and not when I expected to have it finished so I may not be one to speak. My creativity deadlines are always very close to my completion deadlines otherwise I'd be forever tweaking the damn thing.

I suppose you'll have to make of that what you will.

Either way - it's all very exciting and congratulations again!!!!!! You must be proud of yourself and Andy must be so proud of you.
