You have to laugh when you succeed in digging up masonary, moving paving slabs, shifting around a tonne of topsoil, collecting and moving heavy external doors, and loads of other heavy duty tasks, being forever mindful of your injured back, and do so comfortably and safely, only to catch something in it while leaning over to plant small flowers ( Read more... )

I've just built a stone staircase, without lifting anything heavier than a housebrick (see, I'm being good! Lots of pulling, pushing, rolling etc, but no lifting!)
