Oscar and I are currently in the town of Flåm, at one end of a big fjord (a steep, narrow valley with a river at the bottom carved during several ice ages by a glacier or two). We just stepped off a cruise through the fjord and into the screaming, bitingly cold and very wet wind to have a cup of Hot Chocolate of Evil Doom. Ew

Hi J&O hope things are going well, it sure seems so. I have some information you may be interested in. Firstly, Jill, apparently the EF conference in on the 11th February in Melbourne. Mum told me to pass it on. Secondly, on a related matter, if you want to go to the conference, and Oscar doesn't, he has an option... The second final of the one-day international series is in Sydney (the same date 11/2). It's also Dad's birthday. The Knickerbocker Hotel has a social club making a trip down that day. Benny's going, I'm going, and I'm paying for Dad's ticket for his birthday. If Oscar is interested, let me know, because apparently you need to be a Knickerbocker Social Club member (Only $10 for life!). If he wants to come, I can arrange his membership and book him in for the trip. Not sure on the cost, but it should be reasonable, 'cos they're hiring a bus to go.

Ah ha... interesting... I might surprise Oscar with the cricket and send him off without telling him where he's going. Sounds like something he'd enjoy, I can even call his boss on the sly and get him the weekend off. It is cricket, right?

So, how does he get there? Does he have to come to Bathurst first, or can he meet you in Sydney? Please post e-mail the details to aus_silja@hotmail.com (which I almost never use), because Oscar reads the other e-mail address and it will be much more fun to surprise him :)
