Prompt from vialethe: Narnia, Edmund (+/) Susan, well the snow may have melted/but it covered all kinds of dirt

During that first month of returning Spring in Narnia, Susan kept a careful watch on her younger brother as they travelled the land, fighting remnants of the Witches' forces and discovering that while many fully-formed statues were breathed back to life by the Lion, crumbling remains of beastly statuary were not.

"That could've been..." he began in a shaky voice, looking away from yet another pile of chipped and worn stone revealed once the snow and frost finally disappeared.

"Yes, it could have," she agreed, willing herself not to picture her siblings as moss-covered ruins in this magical land, "but we're not because you destroyed her wand."

Prompt from eternal_moonie : Once Upon A Time, Dark Swan/Dark Hook, paint the town black

He grabbed her wrist in a deathly (while vaguely noting the irony) grip and cursed her for turning him dark without his consent-he fought so long and so hard to be good and she took his memory, his goodness and his death away from him in a matter of moments.

Since he wasn't given a choice in the matter, could he really be blamed for whatever he did next?

Banishing his hard-earned heroic traits to the furthest corners of his mind and heart, he was pleased to see Emma step back with some alarm as he enveloped their bodies in a coil of dark smoke and said, "Let me show you how a Dark One is truly supposed to act, love."

Prompt from notoriousreign: Narnia, Tirian/Jill, see you again

He found her standing on her toes and staring out beyond the walls of the Garden, just as Queen Lucy had done when they first arrived however long (or short) ago it was.

Jill turned at the sound of his footsteps and with a soft smile gracing a face that was slightly older than he remembered in the Narnia on the other side of the Stable Door, said, "Eustace and I had wondered what would happen if we were to die in Narnia-whether we'd come here to Aslan's Country or return to England in the same place we were before Aslan called us to rescue you."

Tirian stood next to her and looking at the buildings that made up the mysterious world of Spare Oom, took her hand in his and said, "It matters not where or when we met our end, fair Jill, for surely the Lion would have us all meet again here in his Country one day."

Prompt from luckweaver: Doctor Who, 12/Clara, Coffeeshop AU

He first met her when she was a Dalek on the Asylum and then as a governess in Victorian England; it should have been no surprise to see her once more in another incarnation and time.

But a coffeeshop was the last place he'd expect to come across her again, this time appearing in the guise of a barista-a recently-coined word in human vocabulary but one he's heard among races and on planets far older than Earth-and asking in a weary voice, "How can I help you?"

"No, no, dear gir-Clara," he amended as he noticed the name badge pinned to her blouse, "you've helped me several times already and now it's high time (and space) to repay the favour."

Prompt from profshallowness: Downton Abbey, Lady Edith Crawley, grasping happiness

After the disastrous day in which Mary ruined yet another relationship for her, Edith finally escaped her vengeful sister and the sympathetic looks from Tom by seeking solace in the nursery.

"Good night, Marigold," Edith whispered softly to her daughter, bending down and kissing the child's head.

She may have lost another suitor but here was someone who could always put a smile on her face and make all the heartache and sacrifices worth it.

Prompt from caramelsilver: Narnia, Edmund, control

The two young combatants circled each other, eyes alert for any sudden movement from the other and oblivious to the crowd that gathered to watch. Peter struck out first but Edmund anticipated his brother's impatience and with a quick step managed to cause him to lie flat on his back in the middle of the courtyard, the tip of Edmund's sword hovering dangerously close to the High King's heart.

"That was a bit too close for my tastes, Edmund," said Peter, panting with exhaustion as his brother removed the weapon and offered a hand to help him up, "but now I see why the General said learning restraint on a battlefield is important."

Prompt from heliopausa: Downton Abbey, Branson and/or Edith, Madrid 1936 ‘No Pasarán’

"Are you really sure you want to stay for all this?" Tom asked, pulling his sister-in-law away from the balcony of her hotel suite as an army of men appeared at the far end of the Gran Via, marching briskly down the broad street. The family thought he was the best person to reason with Edith and bring her home admist the chaos that ran through Madrid as the clash between the Republicans and the Nationalists literally came to a head.

With pencil and notebook in hand, she brushed off his concern and made her way to the window where cries of "¡No pasarán!" drifted in and said, "I promised Dolores I would tell her story and that of Madrid and I'm not going back on my word."

Prompt from samparker: London Spy, Alex/Danny, alternate ending

Spoilers for the last episode...

They came across each other purely by chance-after all, what were the odds of finding their soulmate hidden amongst the crowds that gathered to watch and take part in one of the largest Halloween parades in America?

It was a question only a genius could answer and Danny had no way of knowing who the Wolf that literally stalked him for several streets was until the mask was pulled back to reveal a familiar, long lost-long thought dead-and beloved face.

"You found me," Alex said-the words plain and simple just as he had always done when they were together those many years ago-and putting a finger to Danny's lips, cried silent tears of relief that he didn't have to break his vow to his captors and his mother in order to be reunited with the only person he ever cared for.

Prompt from caramelsilver: Narnia, Peter and Edmund, back to back

The traitorous Telmarine lords were advancing quickly towards him and for the briefest of moments, Peter thought perhaps his time in all worlds was finally coming to an end. He stood firm and held his sword as steadily as his uninjured arm would allow him to and thought that whatever history would say of him in the future, the one thing he could never be called is a coward.

One of the Telmarine men loomed before him and swung his sword towards the High King but instead of flesh, the weapon met another blade, the sound of steel against steel ringing in Peter's ears as a familiar voice said sharply, "I'm here, Brother," followed by "Narnia, Narnia! The Lion!"
