I forgot too. I was shocked in front of my computer, waiting for something at the end to make things better. But OF COURSE they didn't. Damn Joss. (Damn him in a fannish, loving way)

The ending was HORRIBLE (I can't refrain from making that bad pun all the time! heee.)

and I was ok, until the "A THING". this just killed me!

Yes, after a long absence, there was just love and longing, but the love/hate is BACK, getting us all ready for Dollhouse.

I hear ya! I was expecting Penny to get up and redeem Dr Horrible ... but no. I even thought he'd killed Captain Hammer when the blast happened. I've been watching too much predictable tv lstely and forgot that Joss loves pain so much. Hats off to him though, he made me feel really depressed after just 3 short installments, he's genius and I love him hehe!

It makes sense. In hindsight. Supervillains always have the painful origins story. Here we've seen Doc Horrible's.
but really, we are so easy and forgiving. how did we not remember that IT WAS JOSS???

Everything was just so silly and cute and funny, we let them fool us into thinking that maybe Joss and his apparently equally evil brothers were just being.. silly and cute and funny.
But you're right. It's a super-villain origin story. We knew it was. We just didn't realize it really would be what it says it is.

I think that Nathan saves this act from being totally and completely horrible (but in a good way!). Pretty much every line from his song, not to mention the pathetic sobbing and the HURTING (this is what pain must feel like!).

I think he did an amazing job. NPH was brilliant and owned the act, but Nathan was a worthy opponent.
THE PAIN!!! I feel like curling myself on the sofa and sobbing just as pathetic for not having seen it coming.
