Jaejoong was taking a nap in Yoochun’s room while Yoochun and Junsu sat out in the porch of Yoochun’s apartment sipping on some homemade lemonade that Jaejoong had prepared just before he went to sleep.

“So both Changmin and Yunho want to reconcile huh?” Yoochun asked after hearing both Junsu’s and Jaejoong’s encounters with Changmin and Yunho respectively. “Should we give them the chance?”

Instead of replying, Junsu thought hard about it. Junsu had been upset over the outcome of lawsuit despite their winning because they had lost something even more precious in return - the DBSK friendship that they had promised each other would last forever. Although he had not shown his disappointment as fervently as Yoochun and Jaejoong who had been pretty depressed over the issue, Junsu also felt hurt.

“We should.” He concluded. It did not make senses to push away their old friends when they had made the effort to acknowledge their mistake and bring forward their hand in friendship again. And honestly, Junsu missed them. Although it had been fun with Yoochun and Jaejoong, whom he felt much closer to now but he knew there will be always something missing as long as Yunho and Changmin weren’t there. So if they were willing to give this another go, so should JYJ.

“Jaejoong hyung thinks so too.” Yoochun said. Jaejoong and he had a long talk after Jaejoong had cornered Yunho and asked him the truth about the situation. He wanted to trust Yunho on this and grasp this chance to rekindle their friendship. Yoochun thought that was a good idea.

“Hey guys…” Jaejoong tumbled into the porch, sleep still laced into his voice. He slumped next to Junsu, putting his head on his shoulder with his eyes still pinched shut as the evening sun spilled onto his face.

“How was your nap?” Junsu asked as he used his hand to remove Jaejoong’s fringe from his face.

“Good.” Jaejoong replied, feeling real comfortable in his position.

“Well, at least you don’t look like death now.” Yoochun commented. When Jaejoong had come through the door, Yoochun swore the man was going to be rendered unconscious anytime now. His skin was so pale that it seemed like filming was literally sucking the life out of Jaejoong.

“So will you be having dinner here or with your beloved Jongyun?” Yoochun teased.

“Here.” Jaejoong replied as he continued to snuggle into Junsu. “Jongyun’s gone for the week. Interviews in Japan and all.”

“Great!” Yoochun announced. “Get cooking then.”

--

The one thing that the boys always missed after their debut was their mother’s cooking because nothing else made them feel at home. Similarly, after boys had started living separating there was another thing that they missed most - Jaejoong’s food. He may not have started good but over the years, his home cooked food also started feeling like home once their taste gained familiarity with his way of cooking. Although his meals may have been extra spicy, something their stomach and bowels will not appreciate later on, they had become addicted to his cooking.

“Best. Meal. Ever.” Junsu declared. It had been a rather plain dinner - kimchi jiggae, fried rice and egg rolls but they had wanted to lick their plates clean.

Yoochun nodded along while taking his second helping for the evening. “So, you’ll going to set tomorrow?”

“Yeah.” Jaejoong replied taking a bite of his own cooking. “I’ll be shooting the bed scene with Yunho soon.”

Both Yoochun and Junsu almost choked on their food. Jaejoong never knew the right time to say out news like that. He just brought things up when they struck him.

“Well, that’s going to be awkward.” Junsu predicted once he had regained himself. Yoochun agreed with Junsu outwardly but inside, he felt excited. 7 years ago, he had been the first person to find about Yunho and Jaejoong dating and ever since then, he had supported them and their relationship. So when they broke up, it felt like something had broken inside him as well. For Yoochun, no one could be more perfect for them other than each other. They were like two pieces of puzzles that just fit with each other and no one else could do replace the either one. So when Jaejoong had gotten together with the likes of Jongyun, Yoochun hadn’t liked it one bit but in his mind there was always this possibility that perhaps one day by any chance of luck Yunho and Jaejoong would end up together again even if their team had separated on bad terms. Now, it seemed like whatever Yoochun had wished for was coming true.

“It’s going to be really awkward.” Jaejoong agreed. To act out a bed scene with an actor that he had been recently introduced to seemed easier than doing the same thing with an ex-lover definitely. Jaejoong simply wished that filming day would just come and go and he could forget it as soon as possible.

“Just remember to be safe, boys.” Yoochun teased. Yes, everything was finally falling into its right place.

--

“But he’s my boss! If I stop, I’ll be fired!” Choi Hyun defended himself.

“So you’ll continue sleeping with your boss while you’re dating me?” Do Hoon yelled back.

Do Hoon had been Choi Hyun’s best friend up until college. It was only while they were in their third year; they had declared their love to each other and had gotten together. Everything had been merry and wonderful until Choi Hyun had gotten hired at the firm of his dreams but on a simple condition. He had to sleep with the boss. Choi Hyun had obviously hidden this fact from his long term boyfriend who had recently found about his affair through a mutual party. But what Do Hoon didn’t know was that Choi Hyun had been falling for his boss other than just simply sleeping with him.

“I don’t have a choice, Do Hoon!” Choi Hyun sobbed.

“You’re unbelievable!” Do Hoon hit the table which sent the papers flying.

“Okay! Cut!” The director called out breaking Jaejoong and Yunho out from their intense scene. Yunho’s chest had been heaving from all the yelling and pretend anger while Jaejoong calmed himself by taking a deep breath.

“Seung Hoon, you’re up next. Yunho and Jaejoong, we’ll see you here tomorrow.” The director dismissed the two actors.

--

“Do you wanna grab some lunch?” Yunho offered after they had changed to their usual clothes. Expecting rejection again, Yunho was surprised when Jaejoong agreed and followed him to the catering area.

“Actually I’ve got something for you.” Jaejoong said as soon as they sat down. Yunho’s eyes lighted up instantly. Jaejoong dug through his duffle bag and produced a lunch box. He placed it in front of Yunho.

“Well, I cooked for the boys last night and we had a lot leftover so I thought I’ll bring you some.” Jaejoong explained as he open the cover of the box to reveal kimchi jiggae that had been kept warm by the thermal packing.

“I’ll get you some rice.” Jaejoong said as he stood up to get some rice from the catering area. Yunho’s mouth watered at the sight of the jiggae that he had not eaten since…well, it felt like forever. Of course, it was basic Korean dish that was available everywhere but the way Jaejoong prepared it was completely different. It always had more kimchi and was always extra spicy but Yunho loved it.

Jaejoong came back and placed the steaming rice in front of Yunho. He felt so happy seeing his favourite food sitting right in front of him that he completely forgot to thank Jaejoong and dug right in. It was only when he was taking his second spoonful when he stopped and looked up at Jaejoong who was staring at him with a raised eyebrow.

“Thank you…for the food?” Yunho said uncertainly wondering if it was too late seeing that his mouth was currently stuffed with the very food he should have thanked Jaejoong for from the start. Jaejoong just chuckled at his behaviour. He didn’t have to hear Yunho’s gratitude because just looking at Yunho taking delight in his food told him how much Yunho had missed and enjoyed it.

“Here, have some.” Yunho offered as he pushed the box of jiggae towards Jaejoong, prompting him to take his spoon and start eating as well.

“No, thanks, I ate before the scene.” Jaejoong declined. “Six small meals remember?”

“Right. This is really good Jaejoong!” Yunho heartily dug in again.

“I’m glad you liked it.” Jaejoong smiled as he watched Yunho eat. “Yoochun and Junsu had been craving for it so I decided to treat their taste buds.”

“I really missed your cooking, Jae.” Yunho confessed. In fact, with their busy schedules and lack of cooking skills, Yunho and Changmin had eaten so many restaurant meals in the past few years that they felt sick of it.

“So it that why you wanted to be friends again? So that you can eat the food I cook?” Jaejoong joked.  Yunho laughed along.

“So how have the past years been for you, Yunho?” Jaejoong asked, sobering up. Well, he had seen them on TV, radio shows and magazines and they seemed to have held up well outwardly. But Jaejoong really wanted know how they actually felt throughout the past years.

“Tough.” Yunho replied with a single-word. “Do you know how hard it was? To fill in the gap of 3 members, to please the company and to retain the fans? We worked day and night, Jae.”

“I know.” Jaejoong acknowledged. He had guessed how hard it would have been. Working as 5 members had proved to be exhaustive, he could imagine how it tough it would have been with just 2 of them remaining.

“How about you?” Yunho asked.

“A mess.” Jaejoong replied. “Half the time we didn’t know what we were doing, we took any gig we could get and that was about it. But it seemed to have worked out eventually. We’re okay with this.”

Yunho simply nodded, not wanting to say his own opinion. This was not the time to fight. It was the time to understand each other and support what the either party was doing.

“So, Jongyun huh?” Yunho changed topic instead as he was interested in how their relationship came about. He knew he had let go of Jaejoong a long time ago but learning about Jaejoong finding another had hurt more than he thought it would have. He knew Jaejoong loved easily. He opened his heart to everyone but it was still a surprise when he found out about them.

“Yeah…” Jaejoong didn’t elaborate on the topic though. This felt as awkward as Jongyun bringing up Yunho the other day. Talking to your boyfriend about your ex-boyfriend was weird. But talking to your ex-boyfriend about your current boyfriend, wait fiancé, was even worse!

“How’d you two meet?” Yunho prompted instead when Jaejoong did not say anything else.

Now Jaejoong didn’t know how to tell this Yunho. What was he supposed to say? ‘Oh, ever since we broke up, I slept around with a million people because I was depressed until I met Jongyun who turned out to be more than a fling.’ Yeah, somehow Jaejoong knew that Yunho would never approve of his casual manner on sex. In fact, as far as he knew Yunho, Yunho treated people and relationships according to upmost morals and sanctity.  So there was no way he letting Yunho know how Jongyun and he had gotten together.

“Oh…well, erm, we met…through a mutual friend.” Jaejoong wasn’t exactly lying through his teeth. Jongyun and he did end up in bed together because a mutual friend of theirs had invited them to a party. “And we talked. And we liked each other. So we ended up dating.”

Yunho nodded buying the lie. Well, a lot of celebrities did end up dating because of mutual friends, that wasn’t uncommon. But the one thing Yunho was really curious about from the start was Jaejoong’s pregnancy. He had confronted Jaejoong about it when they were not on good terms and Jaejoong had refused to answer. Now it was Yunho’s time to pry open the secrets Jaejoong carried.

“So, uh…why did you decide to have a baby now when you knew you were going to take on this role?” Yunho knew that Jaejoong wanted a baby and a family to call his own but he supposed that timing hadn’t always been Jaejoong’s forte. Not with him or with Jongyun.

Now how was Jaejoong supposed to answer this? There was no way around this except for telling Yunho the truth. “We hadn’t planned this.” Jaejoong confessed.

“Oh.” Ohh…so Jaejoong and Jongyun had not even planned for this to happen. Things were finally clearing up for Yunho.

“What about you? Are you seeing anyone?” Jaejoong turned the table on Yunho to dig about his love life.

“No.” Yunho replied but he had to admit he had tried. He had gone out with fellow label mate Go Ara but only because she had reminded him of Jaejoong in so many ways. Then he realized he wasn’t being fair to her or himself and they eventually ended the relationship. Then there were a couple more people but led to nowhere as well.

“I see.” Jaejoong nodded, quite satisfied with the answer.

--

“I will not allow this! Absolutely not!” Do Hoon shouted at his boyfriend. “You either choose me or him!”

“Do Hoon…please try to understand!” Choi Hyun pleaded. How was he supposed to stop loving either of them. They both meant the world to him.

“Me or him!” Do Hoon was fuming. He did not want to hear anything Choi Hyun had to say. He just wanted to hear his name from Choi Hyun. He should be the one that Choi Hyun should choose. They had been together for long and had been best friends since forever. It had to be him not some stranger that had forced his way into Choi Hyun’s life.

“You…Do Hoon…you…” Choi Hyun sighed and finally gave in. He did not want to anger Do Hoon further and more than anything, he did not want to break up with him. He loved Do Hoon and he couldn’t lose him just yet.

Just as suddenly as Do Hoon had built up his rage, he had just as easily calmed down. His anger was now replaced by the overpowering love he had for Choi Hyun, the only person who could evoke such emotions in him.

“I love you so much!” Do Hoon was quick to take Choi Hyun into his arms.

The two kissed passionately. Do Hoon lifted up Choi Hyun into his arms who instinctively wrapped his legs around Do Hoon. They continued kissing while Do Hoon carried him to his desk. Haphazardly clearing the table, Do Hoon set Choi Hyun down and started unbuttoning his shirt. Choi Hyun also did not waste any time and started on Do Hoon’s belt.

“God, you’re so beautiful.” Do Hoon whispered as he slipped in between Choi Hyun’s legs. Choi Hyun moaned as Do Hoon rocked between his legs, bringing him pleasure like no one else could.

“I love you, Do Hoon.” Choi Hyun whispered. “I really do.” Before he was completely lost in pleasure.

--

“Hey, you’re okay right?” Yunho asked as the two actors sat in their trailers. Jaejoong nodded in reply. It wasn’t the first time Jaejoong had seen Yunho nude. In fact, to be honest, Yunho and Jaejoong has been very physical lovers while they were together. It was just that being this close to Yunho brought back all those memories of them being together. Jaejoong missed them. They had been perfect together until everything had come crashing one by one. Them not being able to see eye to eye with each other about starting a family, him being jealous over Yunho’s friends and finally the lawsuit had all added up to a bad ending. But now Jaejoong had Jongyun and he was going to focus on his new family.

“Hey, actually I was wondering if you have some time during the weekend.” Yunho turned to Jaejoong. He knew Jaejoong would be a little shaken from the scenes that day. In fact, Yunho was a little shaken himself. But he had something in mind that would definitely cheer Jaejoong up. Since Jaejoong had taken the liberty to make Yunho’s day by bringing him his favourite food, Yunho had wanted to return to favour.

“Yeah, I do. The director has given us the weekend to recover. And Jongyun isn’t back until next week. So I do have some time.” Jaejoong replied, not knowing what Yunho was getting at.

“Great. Then meet me in my car.” Yunho smirked and got up. He took his jacket and left the trailer, leaving a very confused Jaejoong behind.

--

Yunho was already seated in the driver’s seat by the time Jaejoong had reached carpark and found Yunho’s car. Yunho reached over and opened the front door for Jaejoong to come in.

“Here you go.” Yunho passed Jaejoong a beanie and a sanitary mask. “Put them on.”

“Where are going?” Jaejoong asked as he took the things from Yunho. Where was Yunho taking them where they could be potentially spotted by somebody?

“We’re taking a road trip.” Yunho declared. “To Busan.”

Jaejoong only had the time to widen his eyes in shock as Yunho stepped on the pedal and zoomed off.

--

It was a 7 hour ride to Busan and it had only been a couple of hours on the road. Jaejoong was dead asleep on the passenger seat while Yunho continued to steer the wheel. He had finally taken off the beanie and the awful mask once their car left Seoul and prying eyes. For the first hour of the ride, Jaejoong had chewed off Yunho’s ears with questions, asking him where they were going exactly, what there they going to do there and what was purpose of all of this. Yunho had only replied vaguely, wanting to keep this a surprise as far as possible. The next hour was Jaejoong nagging at how impulsive this was and how he hoped they will not get into trouble for this. Yunho had reassured that everything would be fine. Afterwhich, Jaejoong had simply had fallen asleep. Yunho looked over at Jaejoong and smiled at how Jaejoong still made pouty faces in his sleep. A while more and two would reach where Jaejoong’s surprise would be waiting for them.

“Jae…” Yunho shook his ex-bandmate’s shoulder. Jaejoong stirred awake from his sleep. He looked around and realized that he was Yunho’s car having forgotten about their spontaneous road trip to Busan in his sleep.

“We’re here, Jae.” Yunho said as he unlocked his door. They were parked in front of a small villa and Jaejoong could hear the ocean nearby. The door at his side opened as Yunho stood waiting for him. Jaejoong shook the blanket off him which Yunho had probably draped over him while he slept and stepped out of the car, stretching his stiff limb.

“Whose house is this?” Jaejoong asked as Yunho led them to the front door.

“Mine.” Yunho smiled as he knocked on the door.

“Just a minute!” A familiar voice called back as they heard rustling sounds in the house. Jaejoong looked over at Yunho questioningly who refused to reply to Jaejoong.

“Hello hyung-duel!” A happy voice greeted them as the door opened to a reveal a tall, handsome man.

“Changmin-ah!!!” Jaejoong yelled as he jumped right into Changmin’s arms. Changmin laughed as his hyung pounced onto him. Jaejoong was so happy! At first he couldn’t believe that Changmin was standing before him but once he had gotten over the shock, he felt overwhelmed with joy. He was finally getting to meet the person he had started to miss the most.

Changmin literally carried a deliriously happy Jaejoong into the house who refused to let go him. Yunho grinned as he closed the door behind them. Nothing pleased him more than to see his old friends reuniting before his eyes.

He had been planning this for a few days. When Changmin had told him he was going to shoot a variety show in Busan, Yunho had thought of it as the perfect opportunity. He had recently bought a villa in the region as a getaway spot and what better way to use it. So he had set up this lovely surprise for Jaejoong, knowing how much he must have missed their youngest band member ever since the spilt. Changmin had been looking forward as well, wanting to know how Jaejoong had been holding up.

Changmin had managed to get them the best seafood from Busan and the three of them had settled for dinner. The three had 3 years worth of things of things to talk about. Changmin spoke of the things he had been up to since the spilt while Jaejoong updated them on the JYJ’s activities. But both of them ended up confessing that they had indeed missed each other very much. They ended up talking through the night and only fell asleep when the sun came back up again.

It was 11am when Jaejoong felt his stomach churning. He groaned as he got up and made his way to the toilet to empty the contents of his stomach. It seemed like the baby didn’t approve of seafood, no matter how delicious it had been.

“Hyung.” Changmin stood at door holding a glass of water. He had woken up when he heard the pattering of feet. Jaejoong thanked him as he accepted the glass of water. This part of the pregnancy definitely sucked.

“How far along are you?” Changmin asked as they settled down at the dining table. He had gotten fresh fruits from the port nearby and peeled a tangerine for Jaejoong. Apparently, sour food helped with nausea.

“Almost 4 months now.” Jaejoong answered and took the tangerine slices from Changmin.

“Surprisingly you’re not showing yet. Aren’t you supposed to be?” Changmin questioned. Even if he didn’t know much about pregnancies, some things were obvious.

“Yeah, I don’t seem to have put on much weight.” Jaejoong agreed.

“Are you sure you’re not purposely keeping weight off? Or filming is getting too exhaustive?” Changmin asked.

“Changmin, I assure I’m eating what I can keep down.” Jaejoong reassured. “Don’t worry. The doctor says everything is going well.”

“Good.” Changmin nodded. “So how’s Jongyun?”

“He’s good though he’s overseas now.” Jaejoong had also told Changmin about Jongyun, how they met and how they came to having a baby.

“Maybe one day I should meet up with him too.” Changmin suggested. When DBSK were together, they shared about everything from music to their love life with each other. Whenever Changmin, Yoochun or Junsu got together with someone, they would introduce them to the rest of the group and get their approval as well. It became a tradition of some sort.

“How about you? Are you seeing someone?” Jaejoong asked back. To him, Changmin will forever be someone he would look out for no matter how mature Changmin had become.

“I just broke up with someone.” Changmin sighed. Jaejoong placed a consoling hand on his arm. “She was a model I met at fashion show that I was a guest at. But we had a fight and I couldn’t contact her after that. So I took that as an end.”

“Oh my poor baby.” Jaejoong cooed and cradled Changmin close. Changmin smiled against Jaejoong. He remembered those times when he hated being hugged or mothered by Jaejoong but now this felt right and just like home.

Yunho came into the room right that moment and he felt his heart melt a little. Seeing Jaejoong hug Changmin felt although his little family was starting to finally patch back together.

This was just the beginning to one incredible reunion…
