'It' being my neighbor's back yard. We live on a block with a steep slope and next door have steps that go from the high point at the back down to the front driveway.  Beloved husband has taken the girls out so that I could have a sleep. I have woken up naturally (such a rarity for me!), lingered in bed for a time, and wandered out into a perfectly peaceful house.  This is absolute bliss ( Read more... )

 My beautiful husband bought me a ukulele for christmas1. Since then (of course) I have been strumming my way around the house singing inappropriate rock songs and generally pretending to be Amanda Palmer :)

"Okay, I'm the tooth fairy. I flip this coin, heads you sing a song, tails you lose a tooth."

which turned out to be 'tails, you pretend to lose a tooth and go to sleep and I bring you money'... but dude, for a minute there I thought I was dealing with the fairy godfather!

A little bit country, a little bit Elvis, a lot rock and roll. If this isn't a hit then there is something really screwy going on with the music industry machine.

 It's baby day! All parties are healthy and happy and contentedly resting in the hospital. Baby is 50cms long and 3.33kg (why yes, only *half* a devil child :) )

Also... it's a girl! Will save name information for the parents to pass on as they choose.
